Dog allergy and a dog

Nuka has been with our family for about seven months now. To be honest, it still feels amazing to know a dog breed, that I can live with without bad allergy symptoms. Before I met my fisrt AHT, I tought I wasn't able to have a dog at all. Normally, when I was visiting my friends who had dogs, my nose started to run within fifteen minuntes. When I visited a family with AHTs I didn't need a napkin at all. I was really entusiastic and after a year we wet to pick our tiny Nuka home.

I have heard that puppies may cause more allergies than adult dogs, because they aren't yet house trained. The first weeks I took antihistamine, but soon I was able to leave it away. After leavig the allergy medication, I notised my nose itching. The irritation wasn't there all the time, and I was able to sleep normally even with the dog's bed in our bedroom. Little by little Nuka has learned not to pee insde the house and my symptoms have vanished.

Now my syptoms are quite rare and they are really mild. Sometimes there goes weeks without any symptoms, but sometimes they come back and I might sneeze a little. But if things stay as they are, I don't have to worry and I can live with Nuka. My nose was runny sometimes even before our dog, without any visible reason. I have always felt that allergy is a strange disease, it seemes that everything from a bad temper to a color of your own shirt affects it.

Before Nuka came, we were wondering how to make our home as allergen free as possible and we were really pleased to hear other's recipies. This one works for us:
We bathe and grease the dog weekly
Dog's blankets are also washed weekly
Once in a while we wash the dog toys
The dog doesn't sleep in our bed
We clean our home well once a week
We have Biozone-air cleaner(I don't know if this has any effects)
